What you can expect
Set out on an exciting ocean adventure tour from Newcastle, looking out for the thousands of humpbacks whales on their annual migration. For two hours, take in the amazing views of the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie coastline as you observe the whales, and keep an eye out for playful dolphins and seals as well.
Make the most of whale season with this cruise off the coast of the coast of Newcastle. Departing from Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club - 95 Hannell Street, Wickham, you'll head offshore in search of the abundant population of migrating humpback whales. Soak up the scenery while listening to insightful commentary about the whales, other marine mammals, and the history of the port, the city, local geology and Aboriginal heritage.

- The tour will be rescheduled or cancelled in the unlikely event of poor weather
- If whales are not spotted on a designated whale watch tour between the months of June to November, each passenger will be entitled to a ‘standby ticket’ enabling them to return on another subsequent tour date, this ticket is subject to availability and must be used within the same whale watching season
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
