Hot air balloon Adventure
I went on this adventure of hot air ballooning over Northam for my Birthday. It was a truely magical experience and I can’t wait to enjoy another ultimately wonderful peaceful balloon ride again. Nothing better than starting the day and seeing the sun rise!
What you can expect
Rise before dawn for a half day adventure that ends with you drifting above the Avon Valley as the sun comes up over the hills. You will spend about one hour aloft in a hot air balloon, riding the wind high above the countryside and watching golden light spread across the Avon Valley National Park landscape below, before touching down for a well-earned breakfast.
Your morning starts before sunrise with a drive from the meeting point in Northam out to the launch site. Lend a hand inflating the balloon and other pre-flight tasks or simply stand back and soak up the excitement of takeoff. Once settled into the basket, a safety briefing sees you gently lift off the ground and soar above the incredible Western Australian landscape.
Watch the sun rise over rolling hills and winding streams as the valley wakes up beneath you. Back on solid ground, help with the balloon deflation before heading back to Northam for a delicious breakfast. Getting up in the dark has never felt so worth it.

What To Bring
- Casual comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather conditions on the day
- Shoes must be flat and enclosed, high heels or open toed shoes are not permitted
- A hat, beanie and sunglasses
Terms And Conditions
- Bookings are essential
- Minimum of six and maximum of 22
- Minimum age is six years
- Maximum weight is 130kg
- Pregnant women over 20 weeks are not permitted to fly
- Participants must be physically able to get into the basket
- Spectators are permitted to watch take-off provided they have independent transport
- In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider
- The exact experience start may vary based on the season, the exact time will be confirmed by the experience provider after booking
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Afraid of heights? This is for you!!
What a fantastic experience! I am extremely afraid of heights and was perfectly fine on this flight! Our Pilot Pete and crew (Thor and Josh) were amazing and super helpful with the hot air balloon journey. I would highly recommend this to anyone, even if you have a fear of heights the feeling is like no other!
