What you can expect
If you’ve ever dreamt of taking to the sky and flying a helicopter then this is your chance. This Training Introductory Flight gives the opportunity to see if you have what it takes to be a real pilot. Your adventure starts with a 25-minute briefing and then you take to the skies for 30 minutes in a dual controlled Robinson R44 helicopter. Under the guidance of one of our experienced and friendly instructors, you will be introduced to each of the controls before taking full control. Imagine the thrill of actually flying a helicopter; climbing, descending and hovering, and then as a finale experience the heart-thumping excitement as your instructor demonstrates the skill of low-level flying. Invite your friends and family to watch your piloting skills from the airport viewing area. If you are after a unique adrenaline rush a Trial Introductory Flight is for you. Trial Flights also make a great gift. A weight restriction of 136kg applies to the R44 Helicopter, but if you are under 95kg, you can learn to fly in our smaller R22 Helicopter.

Seasons
- This experience is weather dependant. Safety is the number one priority, so low cloud, heavy rain and / or strong winds may mean your flight will have to be rescheduled to a later date. The operator will contact you (generally the day before your flight) if the weather is likely to be unsuitable.
Hotel Pickup
- Plenty of parking available onsite.
What To Bring
- Loose comfortable clothing should be worn, as it can get quite warm in the cockpit and sturdy shoes
- Sunglasses are a must as the glare off clouds can be quite severe
- A cap is also a good idea
Terms And Conditions
- No particular level of fitness is required but people with epilepsy cannot fly
- No experience is required, you will be supervised by an expert instructor at all times
- You will not be allowed to fly if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- A decent breakfast on the morning is recommended
- Maximum passenger weight for the Robinson 44 is 136kg
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
