What a spectacular day! Definitely ticked off my bucket list. To see so many whales was amazing. Great information from the marine biologist. Crew was wonderful.

Experience the thrill of coming face to face with the majestic Humpback Whales on their annual migration along the West Australian coastline. Every year, from September to December, these gentle giants can be sighted frolicking in the waters just off Hillarys Boat Harbour. Join Rottnest Fast Ferries for the close encounter of a lifetime, seeing Humpbacks at play.
You'll enjoy the best possible view of the majestic Humpback Whales from the safety of our large, state-of-the-art passenger vessel. Take advantage of our large open deck space to capture spectacular close up photographs. Snacks are available onboard with licensed bar facilities.

Terms And Conditions
- Adult: 13 years old+
- Child: 4-12 years old
- Family: 2 adults and 2 children
- Passengers should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time for check-in
- Concession: Senior and Student - must have a valid ID and card
- Seasonal experience available September through to November
- As whales are wild animals, whale sightings are not guaranteed, however the experienced and attentive crew ensure that you have the best possible chance at finding the whales
- If on any tour whales are NOT sighted, passengers are entitled to go on the next available tour free of charge
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

It was a rough sailing, almost everyone had sick bags. Maybe music playing so can’t hear people being sick. The spray also made the air worse was soooo much . Maybe air con on more or door at bow open more. Our 2 kids hated it. Seen one mum whale and baby

The ferry, and marine biologist were excellent!. I can't say the same for the company running the tour.
About 75% of the passengers were throwing up, but this wasn't at all addressed in the safety demonstration on board or even prior warning to take pills. Free puke bags were handed out, but not always within easy reach. Terrible duty of care :( Worst tour ever. Whales were spotted but not always easy to see, or even the presence to do so. Majority of passengers were fed up and just trying not to throw up! There was zero acknowledgement that most of us were in distress, and couldn't care less about whales at that point. A sorry rort.
