What you can expect
Launch out of Port Douglas on a three hour afternoon cruise to the Low Isles, a coral cay sitting inside a calm lagoon on the Great Barrier Reef. The sail out takes 30 minutes, then you have two hours and 30 minutes to fill however you like. Pull on your mask and fins and follow your guide over the coral, tracking tropical fish through clear, sheltered water.
If you would rather stay dry, take the glass bottom boat and watch the reef roll past beneath you, then walk the sandy tracks to the historic lighthouse and weather station and keep an eye out for birdlife. All the gear is sorted, from lycra suits and flotation devices to prescription masks, with guides on hand the whole time. Fruit, tea and coffee are served on the cruise home. Grab your towel and get out there.

Additional Information
- Please note - We'd like to advise that the reef displays some damage from Cyclone Jasper at the Low Isles plus some freshwater bleaching due to the flooding at the same time as Jasper. There is still coral, plenty of marine life to see as well as still being able to relax on the Island

- The reef at the Low Isles shows some damage from Cyclone Jasper and some freshwater bleaching from the associated flooding, with coral and marine life still present
