Introductory Scuba Dive, 2 Hours - Bass Point

Push off into the blue at Bushrangers Bay and take your first breaths underwater on a two hour introductory scuba dive in Bass Point Reserve. Your online theory is knocked over at home before the day, so once you reach the dive centre it is straight into the good stuff. Your experienced instructor runs you through the basic skills, checks your gear and then leads you down beneath the surface. Weightless and breathing slow, you drift over a reef that teems with life.

Blue gropers cruise in close, schools of fish shimmer past and grey nurse sharks patrol the deeper water, though these are wild animals so nothing is ever promised. With a maximum of four divers in the group, your instructor stays close the whole way and every piece of equipment is provided apart from your own mask and snorkel. Running once a month on the last Sunday, this is the dive that turns curiosity into obsession. Gear up and get under.
