Amazing and fun day of 4wd skills building
This course was incredibly enjoyable and genuinely practical. The pacing was spot‑on—starting with a solid introduction to the fundamentals of 4WDing, then steadily building our skills and confidence throughout the day. What really stood out was how well the instructors helped us understand our own vehicles—their capabilities, features, and how to use them properly in real off‑road conditions. We spent plenty of time on the tracks, and every exercise felt purposeful and confidence‑building. I’m extremely grateful for the experience. I walked away feeling capable, informed, and confident in how to safely and effectively use my vehicle thanks to the team running the course. Thanks heaps, guys—brilliant day.

What you can expect
The ultimate adventures are often only within reach if you can take on the terrain in your four-wheel drive. So learn to harness the full power of your vehicle and gain confidence on off-road terrain with this epic full day 4WD training course. Out at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek, the 4WD Training Park is the perfect place to master the challenges and obstacles of off-road driving. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced driver, there’s plenty of skills to learn to master four-wheel driving techniques, safety and vehicle maintenance. Your training day will be run in small groups with no more than four participants per instructor, so everyone is guaranteed plenty of individual attention. You’ll cover a huge range of aspects through hands-on exercises and discussions.
The day includes how to plan your travel route, how to negotiate a variety of terrains (including sand), water crossings, range and gear selection, hill descent control, off-road technologies, emergency braking on unsealed/gravel roads, changing a wheel on uneven surfaces, vehicle recovery and environmental awareness. Bring your own 4WD and learn to conquer extreme off-road conditions with confidence. You’ll unleash whole new possibilities for adventures.

Seasons
- All Driver Training courses go ahead whatever the weather conditions. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or postpone a course we will contact you as soon as possible
Time
- This course runs from 8.30am to 4pm
- Arrive by 8.30am for registration
Departure Location
- This experience takes part at Sydney Motorsport Park, 400 Ferrers Rd, Eastern Creek NSW 2766.
What To Bring
- Your own 4WD vehicle, which must be roadworthy and have: the correct oil and water levels, a full tank of fuel, tyre pressure at recommended manufacturer levels (refer to your handbook)
- Drivers' licence
- Enclosed, flat shoes
- Heels, thongs, and sandals are not permitted
- Comfortable clothing (note that it can get to extremes of hot or cold at Sydney Motorsport Park)
- You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks (but there is an onsite café and nearby shops available)
Terms And Conditions
- Participants are required to have a minimum P1 Provisional (Red P) driver’s license
- Drivers aged under 18 years must be accompanied by their parent/guardian to registration to sign relevant paperwork
- Passengers are welcome, and can learn how to be a guide for their driver
- Passengers must be over the age of 14
- Suitable for beginners to experienced drivers
- No alcohol should be consumed for at least 12 hours prior to the course
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
