What you can expect
Take the plunge and dive with sharks at the Sydney Aquarium for a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is sure to get your heart racing. Sydney’s most exhilarating animal experience will see certified or non-certified divers participate in a cageless shark dive – the only one of its kind in Sydney.
The shark dive commences with a scuba diving and equipment briefing. Don your wetsuit, weight belt and make your way into the training pool. Instructors will provide personalised tuition to ensure you are feeling confident before the shark dive commences.
Next, it’s time to slip into the tank for a breathtaking 30 minute shark dive to explore this magical underwater world. Come face to face with Wobbegong and Port Jackson sharks, stingrays, and other marine life. Family and friends are welcome to watch and cheer you on from the safety of a spectator tunnel. After this incredible Sydney shark dive, you’ll have free time to explore the SEA LIFE Aquarium at your leisure.

How It Works
- DO NOT drink alcohol the night before your dive
- DO NOT fly in an aircraft within 12 hours of your dive
- You MUST have a reasonable degree of swimming ability
- If you are pregnant, or planning to become pregnant, please do not book
- We advise all divers to read our Shark Dive Xtreme terms and conditions before booking. If you are booking a dive or purchasing a gift voucher for another person, please ensure they are aware of these terms and conditions
Inclusions
- Introduction to Scuba Diving’ briefing and pool skills session (approx. 90 minutes)
- All dive gear and wetsuits
- 30-minute shark dive

Time
- Shark dives operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- 3 sessions running per day at 8am, 11am and 2pm
- Participants must arrive at the entry to the attraction 15 minutes before their session
- Operating hours are subject to change without notice
Duration
- Please allow 2.5 hours for the total experience
- The shark dive is approximately 30 minutes in duration

What To Bring
- Swimming costume/swimmers
- Enclosed footwear
- A towel
- Toiletries (you are welcome to use our showers after your dive)
Terms And Conditions
- Pregnant individuals are not permitted to dive
- You must be able to lift and walk with approximately 35kg and be in good health
- Minimum age is 15 years
- Do not drink alcohol the night before your dive
- Do not fly in an aircraft within 12 hours of your dive
- Do Not fly in an aircraft within 24 hours after your dive
- A medical questionnaire must be completed and returned no later than 14 days prior to the dive
- All non-certified divers must complete a medical declaration on the day
- Late arrival or non-attendance will result in non-admittance to the dive session, and missed sessions are non-refundable
- SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium will refuse admittance to anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or behaving offensively or uncooperatively
- If you have a pre-existing medical condition and still want to dive, you are required to obtain a medical clearance from a qualified dive doctor
Cancellation Policy
- This product is not refundable or transferable, with a 100% cancellation fee

A Mind Blowing Experience
On Saturday 16th March I went on this experience with 3 other divers and with 2 dive instructors. Our instructors were Alison and Rena, amazing people and so supportive. They looked after us and they assisted in making the experience an unbelievable. I would highly recommend to anyone to include this adventure on your must do list. To Alison and Rena, thank you Pete
