Jet Car Tour, 1 Hour - Hawkesbury River

Fire up your own jet car for a one hour self drive blast along the Hawkesbury River, launching from Brooklyn with the old railway bridge towering overhead. After a full safety induction and training session, you slip beneath the railway and freeway bridges, then squeeze the throttle and let it run.

Tear past Peat Island and Milson Island, swing around Bar Island and push upriver to Spencer, with sheer sandstone cliffs rising on both sides and open water stretching out in front of you. Your guide leads the pack the whole way, mixing long full throttle straights with fast, spray flinging turns that keep the grin locked in. No licence and no experience are needed, so first timers and hardened speed demons line up on the same start. Between bursts, scan the banks for pelicans, herons, ibises, spoonbills, ducks and river hens. Up to two people can ride in each jet car, so grab a mate and take turns chasing the wake.
