What you can expect
Discover the natural beauty of Manly with a guided snorkel tour plus a coastal nature walk. Starting from Shelly Beach you will be taken on a guided coastal nature walk out to the headland. As well as pointing out native flora and fauna your guide will also begin preparing you for your snorkel tour of Cabbage Tree Aquatic Reserve. Be sure to bring a camera to capture some of the amazing views of the Northern Beaches and some water to keep you hydrated before hitting the water.
When you return to Shelly Beach your guide will get you kitted out in your snorkel gear and take you through the basics in case you haven't snorkelled before. Then it's time to get into the water to see what what lies beneath the calm waters of Cabbage Tree Aquatic Reserve. With over 200 species of fish, invertebrates and algae you won't be disappointed.This experience is part of our Low-Footprint Adventures range because it is ECO certified by Ecotourism Australia.

Operating Hours
- Available daily at 9:30am and 1pm
- Arrive 10 minutes before tour start time to check in and find meeting spot. Late arrivals will miss the tour and be considered as a no show
Duration
- This experience is 2.5 hours in duration including a headland walk, safety talk and how to use equipment brief and marine interpretation and snorkel
Departure Location
- This experience takes place in Shelly Beach, Manly, NSW.
What To Bring
- Please wear comfortable shoes for the walk and swimwear for the snorkel.
- You may also want to bring a towel, hat, water and sunscreen.
Additional Information
- This tour runs with a maximum of 8 people and minimum 2 people.
- There is a nice cafe at Shelly Beach called the Boat House and seats near waters edge for spectators
- In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless deemed unsafe. If the tour is cancelled you will be notified up to 2hrs before tour start time. Check email a few hrs prior to tour time.
- Customers must complete an Online Pre Check In Form and inform guide of any medical conditions. Please complete before arrival.
Terms And Conditions
- Must be able to swim 150 meters unassisted, float and tread water
- Participants between the ages of 8 and 12 require parental supervision on tour in the water
- Your health and safety is important - If you are pregnant unfortunately you are not permitted to come on the tour. If you have any medical issues please get your doctors approval and clearance letter if required
- Drink water before the tour and apply sunscreen
- All you belongings will be stored in our vehicle while on tour. Please ensure you have all your belongings secure in your bag to avoid forgetting any items when you leave.
- All activities undertaken at own risk. You cannot participate if you are pregnant you or have medical issue which requires doctors clearance letter.
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
