formidable. Très belle expérience.
I had a great time
The weather on the day was sunny, which was nice. I was lucky to sit in the front seat next to the pilot. We had a great time, the view was briliant!
Taking off in a seaplane from Rose Bay, it is hard not to be awed as beautiful Sydney Harbour unveils itself beneath. The immaculately restored, classic Beaver seaplane adds to the nostalgia - such a contrast to the myriad of high-tech cruisers zigzagging the bay.
As you gently exit the harbour, rolling swells crash against the magnificent sandstone cliffs rising from the sea. You will venture south at 500 feet until reaching the world famous Bondi Beach. Your pilot will manoeuvre the aircraft so that all on board have a great view. From Bondi you head back into the harbour and climb to 1000 feet, even for a seasoned local the vista is truly stunning. You will track all the way to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, and complete a circuit above both famous icons.
On descent back to Rose Bay your pilot will point out the beautiful houses of the rich and famous that punctuate the area. Gliding gracefully over the surface, the single-engined Beaver eventually touches the water, leaving a trail of white foam and noise, until finally coming to rest.
