What you can expect
Grip the throttle and feel the salt spray on your face as you launch from Townsville's waterfront for a 70 minute guided jet ski tour along the shores of Magnetic Island. Each ski carries two riders with the passenger going free, so bring a mate or partner and take in the action together as your guide leads the group across Cleveland Bay. From there, the route is chosen on the day based on wind and weather, so you might head south past Picnic, Nelly, Geoffrey and Arthur Bays with their granite headlands and fringing coral, or hook north past Cockle Bay and West Point toward the calm waters of Rollingstone Bay.
Keep your eyes peeled for sea turtles, dugongs and dolphins gliding through the clear blue water, and watch for the wreck of the SS Adelaide along the way. - Minimum driver age is 16 years
- Minimum passenger age is seven years
- Participants must understand English
- Participants must demonstrate an average level of fitness and confidence, and be able to tread water while wearing a life jacket
- Participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Maximum two riders per jet ski
- Maximum combined jet ski weight is 200kg including riders and luggage
- Participants must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions before the tour begins
- A practical competency skill test is conducted before the tour commences
- Experience provider reserves the right to terminate the tour if a participant demonstrates unsafe behaviour or incompetence
- Experience provider reserves the right to change the itinerary or tour times due to weather or operational factors
- A valid driver's licence or photo ID is required for all drivers
- In extreme weather conditions the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern; you will be contacted by the experience provider and rescheduled
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
