    Grab the family and enjoy a fun-filled half day fishing trip along the waters off Geelong.

    You will be boarding the 'Sidewinder I,' a semi-covered, purpose-built fishing vessel. All bait, tackle and equipment are provided, so you just need to cast a line and wait for that elusive tug.

    Expect to reel in an eclectic mix of fish including flatties, snapper, gummy sharks, King George whiting, silver whiting, rock cod, Australian Salmon and so many more. You may catch an occasional banjo shark and puffer fish and although they make for a great photo, they get thrown back in.

    All legal-sized fish you catch can be filleted and packed on ice for you to take away and enjoy at home. A sizzling BBQ along snacks and tea, coffee and hot milo are provided on board to start.

    Fitness and Experience

    • All participants 18-69 years of age (exemptions apply) require a valid fishing licence available online from the VFA website 
    • Maximum of 20 people on the boat.

    What to Bring/Wear

    • Although the vessel is covered, participants are exposed to the elements, so it's advised to dress very warmly in winter (hat, scarf, gloves, coat, covered shoes) and in summer to bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen 
    • Handwarmers and sunscreen are also available for purchase on the boat 

    What is Supplied

    • Four hour recreational fishing charter 
    • All bait and tackle (rods, reels, lines, hooks and sinkers) 
    • Food (BBQ sausages in bread, salad, fruit, donuts &/or lamingtons)
    • Tea, coffee and hot milo to start
    • All legal-sized fish caught are cleaned, filleted and packed on ice to take away 
    • Licensed bar on board (Pending liquor license application)

    More Information

    • The minimum number of people required for each charter is 10 including children  
    • The maximum number of people for each charter is 20
    • Tickets are fully transferable so an adult ticket allows any adult to use it. Should a participant wish to exchange a child ticket with an adult ticket, they may do so, provided they pay the additional amount. Should a participant wish to exchange an adult ticket with a child ticket, they may do so, but the difference will not be refunded 
    • In the summer months (Nov-Mar) charters book up very quickly. Please book dates well in advance in order to secure the date that suits you best 
    • Days and times of charters vary 
    • For birthdays or special celebrations, please inform us when booking and we will gladly provide a cake free of charge 
    • During Apr-Aug inclusive Snapper is unavailable due to the season.
    • Maximum of 6 vouchers can be used on any one charter

    Cancellation Policy

    • Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
    • Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
    • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
