You'll start this tour by jumping on a Segway and learning how to operate it; due to the easy-to-use intuitive steering you'll get the hang of it in less than 10 minutes! And then the tour really begins! Ride through the rainforest, enjoying spectacular views and the beauty of lush native vegetation. You'll also get the chance to feed wild lorikeets; these rainbow coloured birds are super friendly and you'll be delighted with how close you're able to get to them in their natural habitat. You'll also get to watch a flight bird show that features majestic wedged tail eagles.
Open daily and in all weather, from 8am-5pm (closed on ANZAC Day and Christmas Day). The Hospital is open till 1.30pm. Your entry is valid for up to 9 hours. In case of wet weather, ponchos are available for purchase on site.
The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the corner of Gold Coast Highway and Tomewin St, Currumbin, Gold Coast, Queensland. The Gold Coast Highway runs all the way through the Gold Coast from Labrador in the North through to Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Burleigh, Palm beach, Currumbin, to the Gold Coast Airport to Coolangatta. Coach transfers operated by the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary can be booked for $20 for a pick-up from the Gold Coast Airport or Surfers Paradise.
