Arrive at Atherton Tableland's iconic watering holes in absolute style on this five hour helicopter pub tour, departing Cairns. Marvel at the beauty of the area as you fly over Barron Gorge, Lake Tinaroo and Lake Eachem, stopping at four unique drinking establishments along the way. Bottoms up!
The lush, highland plateau of Atherton Tablelands is in Tropical North Queensland. It’s a rich green as far as the eye can see, a covering of rainforest, mountains and pristine waterfalls – and this is your chance to take it all in… from the sky.
Join the Helicopter Pub Tour to make your way to one of Australia’s most iconic watering holes by air. You’ll cross over the Barron Gorge, Lake Tinaroo and Lake Eachem in search of a cold one (or a few).
Your day starts as you and your mates farewell Cairns Airport and head for a refreshment at the Mountain View Hotel. Then, you’re up and away once more to cruise high above the rainforest and the famous serene blue lake of Crater Lakes National Park.
Next stop is one of the oldest pubs on the Tablelands – the Peeramon Hotel. The beer’s great and the view’s not bad either – from here, you can see 17,000-year-old volcanic Lake Barrine and Lake Eacham.
From there, you’ll board once more to fly over Lake Tinaroo to land at Mt. Uncle Distillery, North Queensland's first and only distillery. Enjoy lunch next door at The Bridges Bar and Restaurant before once more alighting to head for The Billabong Kuranda – a green 165-acre private property – where you can relax on its broad deck, take in the views with a cold one in hand.
Your final flight will take you back to Cairns over the stunning Barron Gorge – complete with waterfalls. A view to remember and a day even more so.
