It’s as close as you can get to flying, and you can get your fill of that gravity-defying thrill with iFLY indoor skydiving in Penrith, Sydney. Add a free-roam virtual reality gaming session and you have an unforgettable day of fun and thrills.
Indoor skydiving uses a clear, glass, vertical wind tunnel to create an intense upwards airflow so that you can float mid-air. Flying in the chamber replicates the sensation of a skydive freefall, but feels like an extreme sport from the future. At iFLY Sydney you’ll be fitted with a flight suit and begin a training session before taking flight.
Your two flights are a full 60 seconds each, making them each equivalent to a freefall skydive from 14,000ft. Feel your heart racing as you learn to control your body while in mid-air flight, with an instructor guiding you throughout.
After flying, you’ll head over to a specially curated virtual reality gaming area (in the same building), where there are three different VR games to choose from. Once you’re briefed on your selected game, comfortable with the gear and kitted out with your vest, headset, backpack and ‘weapons’, it’s time to play. In the curated arena you’ll be free to roam around while playing, so you get a completely immersive gameplay experience for a solid 30 minutes. It’s an action-packed day that you’ll never forget.
