    Bike through heathlands and open forests on route to the dramatic Hanging Rock in the Blue Mountains on a self-guided journey. You'll be supplied with everything you need including bikes, helmets and a map.

    For those who love a bit of exhilaration and nature, this mountain biking adventure allows you to get active outdoors whilst admiring magnificent views. Meet the crew in Blackheath to be set up with your bike and safety equipment as well a map, puncture kit, trail info and bike handling tips from a pro. Once kitted out, you will embark on the Burramoko Ridge fire trail for an awe-inspiring experience through the Blue Mountains. The Burramoko cycle trail will lead you along a ridge to an impressive rocky bluff. Wind through heathlands, open forests and marvel at dramatic views on route to Baltzers lookout, in search of Hanging Rock.

    The outlook at Hanging Rock is completely raw, there are no gates or fences along the edge. Feel your heart race faster as you gaze across the enormous gorge brimmed with trees and fringed by golden cliffs. On a clear day, you will be able to see the Sydney CBD from the top! Take some time to enjoy your snacks, relax and revel in spectacular Mother nature at her finest. Remember to bring your camera to capture the amazing scenery! With limited climbs and a relatively short distance, this mountain bike adventure is perfect for beginners, but also great for the more experienced to enjoy the views. This ride will generally take three to four hours to complete.

    Fitness and Experience

    • The minimum age is 12 years. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paying parent or guardian
    • An average level of fitness is required for this 16km ride with a few steep inclines
    • Suitable for beginners (basic bike handling skills) to advanced riders
    • You will be required to sign a disclaimer and terms of condition form prior to departure
    • Participants must weigh less than 115kg to participate and be taller than 147cm
    • Consumption of alcohol or smoking is strictly prohibited

    What to Bring/Wear

    • Wear shoes that are good for riding and walking
    • Bring snacks and drinking water. Pack extra water, recommend 1L
    • Backpack to carry BYO first aid kit (recommended), clothing, food and water
