Take off and be transported back in time for an adrenaline-pumping flying lesson in a vintage, open cockpit, Tiger Moth Biplane. You’ll be soaring over Victoria’s Yarra Valley for 30 minutes and taking control of the aircraft under the guidance of your flight instructor.
Jumping into the open cockpit of the fully restored de Havilland Tiger Moth Biplane is like jumping back to the early era of flying at the turn of the 20th century. You’ll be kitted out with vintage flying gear to enhance the experience, including a leather jacket, goggles and scarf.
Before your flying lesson your flight instructor will take you through the basic principles of flight, how to control the plane when in the air, and a safety briefing. Then take a deep breath and prepare for take-off!
As you’re soaring over spectacular views of the Yarra Valley way below, you'll have the opportunity to take control of the aircraft yourself and feel the thrill of learning to fly. Enjoy the rush of the wind as you sweep over the landscape in your open cockpit biplane and master the art of flying.
If you want to bring along any family or friends, they can take photos as you get strapped in and wave goodbye, and will be able to see some of the flight before you land again. This flying lesson is a uniquely thrilling adventure that you don’t want to miss out on.
