This Yak 52, VH-YYA was built for the Russian Air Force in 1991 making it the newest Yak in Australia. Designed to train Russian pilots for combat manoeuvres the Yakovlev (Yak) 52 is perfect for awesome aerobatic thrill rides. This warbird has a 9 cylinder, 360hp, supercharged radial engine, can handle g-forces of +7/-5G and is capable of speeds over 400kph which all adds up to one heck of a ride!
Don't worry if you think you might not be able to handle the full extent of the Yak's aerobatic powers - you will be in constant communication with the pilot via headsets and you can let them know if you want to crank up the Adrenalin or take it down a notch.
Just keep it affordable.......would do some other thrills but bit too expensive. Will need to save for a while
The YAK 52 was not unable to start. Not a problem, went in the CT4 instead, same aerobics and a bit longer. Pilot was excellent.
