Williamstown is a vibrant sea side town steeped in history. Observe cargo ships, paddle amongst yachts and jetties while ferries and sea planes hustle in and out of this port. Fish and Chips included.
Discover the beauty of Williamstown from the water with our Half Day Kayak. Your experience begins with a short discussion on the format for the half day experience, including the distance expected to paddle and weather conditions. You are then kitted up with a PFD, spray deck, paddle jacket, thermals and a paddle before the all important Kayak safety briefing including a dry capsize drill. Most sea kayaks are double sea kayaks with a couple of single kayaks available for the more experienced paddlers in the group.
The starting point is the old dock area of Williamstown, so there is much character, charm and plenty to explore.
Half way along this tour we stop for a unique lunch location on the Williamstown foreshore where Fish and Chips plus drink is provided.
This kayak tour is a half day sampler of what sea kayaking is all about.
This tour starts at 10.30 am and finishes at 1.30 pm. Tour options include paddling under the West Gate Bridge, paddling over the channel to Sandridge Beach or paddle along the protected waters of Williamstown foreshore.
