Enjoy fresh sea air and beautiful views as you sail to Rottnest Island on a privately charted yacht, fitting up to 12 people. Help to set the sails and steer the yacht or simply sit back and let the waves rejuvenate your soul. Take time to explore the island on foot and meet the friendly quokkas!
What better way to spend the day than on a 51-foot privately chartered yacht with your friends? Your group of up to 12 will have exclusive use as your skipper and crew set sail from Freemantle Fishing Boat Harbour.
You’ll spend the day exploring this protected nature reserve island, which sits off the coast of the city of Perth, and have chance to say hello to some friendly locals… the quokkas!
If you’re interested getting hands-on, this is a great trip to go on as you can help to set the sails (which are geared for teaching) and practice tasks like steering, navigating, gybing, tacking and winching. Of course, you can simply sit back and enjoy the beautiful views if you prefer, with dolphins and whales likely to be spotted on your 2-2.5-hours cruise. You can even BYO drinks and food along.
Around 12 people are able to comfortably sit in the yacht’s cockpit and salon seating area, and the forward deck is a great place to sit and relax. Once you arrive at Rottnest Island, you’ll have plenty of time to explore. Snorkel, swim, take a walk, meet the quokkas and take some amazing photos to look back on. You can make use of the yacht’s indoor and outdoor showers to freshen up before making the return journey.
Dress comfortably, bringing swimwear and a jacket.
