This course has been developed by the RAC to assist inexperienced drivers understand their own driving capabilities and the capabilities of a vehicle. It is designed to enhance understanding of the principles underpinning driver behaviour and vehicle performance and contains a comprehensive practical component. This is the ideal experience for beginner/learner drivers who lack confidence or competence while driving.
During the course you will learn:
Speed awareness and stopping distance
Techniques for safe driving
Braking and reversing
Monitoring road and traffic conditions
Maintain your vehicle in a safe condition.
A certificate of attendance will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
This adventure will alter your idea of what adventure is all about. You'll need to come with an open mind and be ready to take in all the sights, smells and sounds. The experience will be what you make it to be!

Fitness and Experience
The driver enhancement course is suited to drivers of regular passenger vehicles (including four wheel drives and light commercial vehicles)
All participants must present their current driver's licence ('P' plate or above) in order to participate
No particular level of fitness or experience is required
What to Bring/Wear
Your current driver’s licence
BYO vehicle with a full tank of fuel, optimal tyre pressures, water and oil levels
Wear comfortable casual clothing according to the weather
Wear footwear that has a thin sole eg. joggers. Bulky shoes, high heels or climbing boots are not optimal driving shoes
It is a good idea to bring along a hat, sunscreen and the Aerogard if it is hot, or an umbrella if it’s raining
