Experience the same adrenaline rush as freefall skydiving withIndoor Skydiving! Includes two flights for one person in the tunnel and each flight is equivalent to a 14,000ft skydive.
Get your adrenaline pumping with indoor skydiving. You don’t need to jump out of a plane to feel the rush of freefalling, just book in and get ready to literally fly at iFLY Perth.
Indoor skydiving involves a tall glass chamber with a powerful upwards airflow, which replicates the feeling of freefall when you’re inside it. Family and friends can watch all the action from an all-glass viewing platform just a few feet away as you twist, turn, spin and learn to control your body in mid-flight.
You’ll have two flights at iFLY Perth that are about 60 seconds each, and each is equivalent to the freefall of a 14,000ft skydive jump. This is your opportunity to test the waters if you’re thinking of doing a real skydive, or just enjoy the adrenaline rush without the heights, training, and cost of skydiving. Professional instructors will be there to help you make the most of your flights and adjust the airflow to suit you.
Indoor skydiving is perfect for all ages and kids as young as three years old can fly, so bring the whole family, bring friends, or even come solo. The exhilaration of flying is addictive fun you’ll want to experience again and again.
What does it feel like?
Indoor skydiving simulates the feeling of freefall, so it’s like you’re really skydiving. The rush of air is a bit like the feeling of putting your hand out of a moving car window, except just imagine that for your entire body. The air lifts you like a cushion so that you’re flying in mid-air, and the instructors are there the entire time to help you get a handle on how to control your body. You can still breathe just fine when indoor skydiving, you’ll just feel the air flowing around you and your adrenaline pumping.
What is a vertical wind tunnel?
It’s a large glass cylinder that uses powerful electric fans at the top to create an upwards airflow. That cushion of air being drawn up is what allows you to fly. Being in the indoor skydiving wind tunnel with the rush of air from wall to wall replicates the sensation of skydive freefall. There are skilled technicians monitoring the amount of airflow in the flight chamber to make sure it’s suited to the experience level and size of the flyer in the tunnel.
