  • Description
    • Learn about the marine park and dolphins with onboard team of experts
    • Interact and play with dolphins in their natural habitat
    • Dolphins within reaching distance

Join an expert team and be guided through an amazing in-water swim interaction with Short Beaked Common Dolphins in the pristine waters of Port Stephens. You will be immersed in the breathtaking world of bow-surfing wild dolphins and gently pulled through the water amid their pod.

Embark the 15.8-metre sailing catamaran ‘Imagine’ where you will find the friendly staff waiting to help you get fitted into your wetsuit and snorkel gear. You'll be brief thoroughly regarding the boat safety, the ‘swim with dolphins’ technique and swim regulations, and will also respond to any expectations and concerns you may have.

Then it's time to closely follow the crew's instructions for getting ready to enter the dolphin's domain. From the bow net – and while secured to the towrope - you'll carefully enter the water. After giving the dive master the OK signal, you are gently towed through the water where, as you move off, the dolphins are given the opportunity to come over of their own free will and continue their bow-surfing/people-watching fun.

Here, at last its the moment you've been waiting for - being at one with the dolphins and entering the pod as they come over to view you while crossing between the bows and scanning you with their bio-sonar! You are in the wild and so their location or willingness to interact with you are not guaranteed. Over the years, however, the operator has achieved success rate statistics that are the envy of the wild dolphin swim community. Their intention is to give you the best possible opportunity to achieve this amazing experience. If it doesn’t work out, you will be provided a guarantee that you can return for free until you successfully swim with wild dolphins.
