Located just 2.5 hours north of Sydney, you'll embark on a marine discovery and sailing tour with snorkelling in Port Stephens, NSW. Enjoy the calm water of the bay and meet with the local resident Bottlenose Dolphins before cruising to one of the many offshore islands. Do some snorkelling at incredible spots including Lighthouse Cove on Fingal island and the Western side of Cabbage Tree Island. You'll anchor in the lea of the island, sheltered from the prevailing summer breeze, then the dive master will introduce you to a rich and ever-changing underwater world. There are a great many species of fish, sea urchins and soft corals and (occasionally) sea turtles to see. Then, the sail will be hoisted as you journey to witness some of the most scenic landscape along the NSW Coast. The volcanic islands and the headlands of Yaccaba and Tomaree are awesome sights from the water before sailing back to port to complete a fabulous experience.

    Located just 2 1/2 hours North of Sydney, try a marine discovery and sailing tour in Port Stephens, NSW Australia. Enjoy the calm water of the Bay and meet with the local resident Bottlenose dolphins before cruising to one of the many offshore islands. Our favourite snorkelling spots are lighthouse cove on Fingal island and the Western side of Cabbage Tree Island.

    The rainforest of Cabbage Tree Island is home to the Gould’s Petrel – Australia’s most endangered seabird, this island is also the most southern rainforest island in Australia. Fingal Island is home to one of NSW oldest lighthouse, we can venture right under the tower where lighthouse cove offers a unique seascape for snorkelers.

    You'll anchor in the lea of the island, sheltered from the prevailing summer breeze, then our dive master will introduce you to a rich and ever-changing underwater world. There are a great many species of fish, sea urchins and soft corals and (occasionally) sea turtles to be seen.

    Then we will hoist the sail and take you through some of the most scenic landscape along the NSW coast. The volcanic islands and the headlands of Yaccaba and Tomaree are awesome sights from the water. After a fun day, sail back to port to complete a fabulous experience.

    Requirements: You need to know how to swim if you want to participate in the snorkelling. Dress warmly for the sailing and bring your swimmers and towels, we will provide all snorkelling gears and the expertise of our Dive Master.

    Fitness and Experience

    • You need to know how to swim if you want to participate in the snorkelling
    • Dress for the weather on the day
    • Bring swimmers and a towel if you wish to go on the boom net
    • Don’t forget your sunscreen and sunglasses
    • Please bring your confirmation email with you on the day
    • Those with limited movement/disabilities are very welcome, our crew are experienced and the boarding is easy – it is just a few steps that separate the dock from the “queen seat” at the stern and toilet facilities close by (our crew are experienced and willing to assist passengers from dock wharf to chair on vessel with one step)

    What to Bring/Wear

    • We recommend that you speak to your pharmacist about preventative measures for seasickness before you board as crew cannot provide medication 
    • Comfortable clothes suitable to the weather on the day – eg. warm jumpers, beanies etc
    • Don’t forget your sunscreen and sunglasses
    • Please bring your confirmation email with you on the day
