    Take the plunge and learn to scuba dive at one of Australia’s top dive sites, just a few kilometers out of Cape Byron. Julian Rocks Marine Reserve is home to over 400 species of fish, three different species of sea turtles, blue gropers, wobbegongs and more marine life and colourful corals than you can keep track of. Exploring this underwater world is an absolute must-do in Australia.

    You’ll start your introductory scuba dive course with a lesson in a purpose-built heated swimming pool. Get geared up and the experienced instructors will show you the basic scuba skills you’ll need for your Julian Rocks dive. Once you’re ready, the boat will whizz you over to Julian Rocks Nature Reserve where you can put your skills to use.

    Go scuba diving around Julian Rocks under the supervision of your instructor and soak up all the spectacular underwater sights. You’ll be amazed at what you see.

  • Experience Details

    Fitness and Experience

    • Must be able to swim
    • No diving experience necessary
    • Minimum age is 12 years old
    • Under 18s must be accompanied by a full paying parent/guardian
    • Some major medical issues may prevent participation - please seek medical advice and advise at the time of booking
    • Flying after diving: If only one dive is undertaken then a minimum of 12 hours is recommended before flying. If more than one dive is conducted in the day, or multiple days of diving are undertaken then an interval of 24 hours is recommended

    More Information

    • This experience is approximately five hours
    • Courses start daily at 6.30am, 9.30am and 12.30pm
    • Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
    • All tours operate on NSW Daylight Savings Time (October to April that is one hour ahead of Queensland)

    • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
    • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
    • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
