Experience the extreme thrill of skydiving over the beautiful Rottnest Island, finishing with a beach landing. Strapped to your qualified instructor, you'll jump from 14,000ft in the air and reach speeds of up to 200km/h as you freefall, before peacefully gliding toward the stunning white sands.
Whether you’re a hardcore thrill-seeker or you’re looking for something extraordinary to get you outside your comfort zone, skydiving is the ultimate bucket list experience. And if you’re going to jump, there are few better spots to do it than the sparkling water and picturesque paradise that is Rottnest Island.
Your adventure begins with a scenic ferry ride to Rottnest Island from Perth’s Barrack Street Jetty. Keep your eyes peeled for marine life as you cruise along! Then you’ll start gearing up for your tandem skydiving experience at Rottnest Island Airport with an introduction and safety briefing. If you’ve brought family or friends along with you, this is where you say farewell, board the aircraft and get ready for the thrill of a lifetime.
During the 15-20 minute flight you’ll be able to admire spectacular aerial views over the Western Australia coastline, Perth, Rottnest Island and more. Once you’ve reached the epic height of 14,000ft it’s time to jump. With your instructor strapped to you, you’ll launch out of the aircraft and experience a whole new kind of flight.
As you freefall through the air for about 30 seconds you’ll experience speeds of up to 200km/h and an adrenaline-rush like nothing else. At around 5,000ft your instructor will deploy the parachute and you can enjoy a relaxed canopy ride towards the ground for about five minutes. The only thing better than the panoramic views of Rottnest Island and the surrounding water is the high you’ll be riding from the skydive.
Land right on the pristine beach where any family, friends and supporters you brought along will be waiting. Then celebrate your skydive with a complimentary drink at the beachfront Hotel Rottnest, where you can admire the sandy shore and glittering ocean vista. Plus, while you’re on Rottnest Island you can explore with a hop-on hop-off bus pass before boarding your return ferry back to Perth.
The exhilarating feeling of skydiving will make you feel more alive than ever, and it’s definitely something to tick off your bucket list.
