Topping the list of things to do in Sydney, the Australian National Maritime Museum reveals Australia's fascinating maritime history. Take the plunge and explore one of the largest floating vessel collections in the world.
The Australian National Maritime Museum "Big Ticket" gives visitors complete and full access to the all of the museum, from exhibitions to activities and vessels, as well as the 3D cinema. Retrace footsteps of early explorers, discover historical artefacts and climb aboard historic navy vessels, tall ships and even a submarine.
There's an excellent play area for the under-5s, including arts and craft activities.
Walking clothes with sensible shoes are suggested, as the museum is spread out over a large indoor / outdoor space and our vessels have stairs and ladders that may be narrow or steep. Bring hats and sun protection to prevent sunburn. Backpacks, large bags and other items like strollers can be securely checked in with our front desk staff so you can climb on the vessels safely. Note: Prams and baby carriers are not permitted on board tall ships, warships and submarine.
