Your journey to the ‘village in the rainforest’ by Skyrail is nothing short of spectacular, taking you high above the trees in this stunning, tropical area, which stretches as far as the eye can see. Stop at the stunning Red Peak and Barron Falls lookouts along the way and stretch your legs on the rainforest boardwalks to get a closer look at the canopy.
Kuranda has plenty to see and do, so explore the Heritage Markets, take advantage of your discounted entry to Birdworld, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and Koala Gardens, or take a stroll on one of the picturesque local walking trails.
Then it’s time for your return leg on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, where you’ll pass through the rainforest on a remarkable journey on this historical railway line. You’ll be amazed at the engineering as you pass over bridges, through tunnels and around corners.
