    Add an element of adventure to exploring the famous Gibbston Valley Wineries with this fully-supported E-Bike self-guided day tour. Rev your E-Bike's engine as you ride through the wilderness between the wineries and plan your trail to suit what you’re up for, stopping to visit wineries along the way. 

    Your tour kicks off with a pick up from your accommodation in Queenstown, Frankton or Arthur's Point. Departure times can be flexible, just discuss with the experience provider who will try to cater to your needs. Enjoy the stunning scenery on your shuttle journey to the start of your bike ride. 

    Where you are dropped off depends on how far you want to ride – how much of an adventure are you up for? You can bike anywhere from about 2km to over 20km in total and the details of each option will be laid out for you. You just decide your energy levels on the day and the drop-offs and pickups will be planned around you. 

    Once you arrive, you’ll be taken through setting up your E-Bike, a safety briefing, and the best routes to take plus great spots and local highlights to visit. You’ll have a custom-designed map and instant support from the team at any time to help you make the most of exploring the Gibbston Valley Wineries. 

    Enjoy the complete freedom of your E-Bike adventure as you take on the beautiful countryside and stop in for some wines along the way. There are award-winning wineries along all the routes, including Gibbston Valley, Chard Farm, Peregrine, Mt Rosa, Waitiri Creek/Cargo Brewery, Peregrine, Gibbston Tavern, Gibbston Valley Cheese experience, as well as many more. 

    You can be picked up at 2pm or 5.30pm from the wineries and you’ll be driven home with any wine or shopping you might have picked up along the way on your incredible Gibbston Valley adventure.

    Fitness and Experience

    • Suitable for beginner/intermediate/experienced bike riders 
    • Minimum age is 14 years 
    • Length of bike ride is flexible. - you can either be dropped off at Arrowtown or Morven Ferry intersection and bike to Gibbston (which is a longer ride for more of an intermediate to experienced rider), or you can be taken straight to the Gibbston area to start exploring straight away (which is perfect for all levels) 

    What to Bring/Wear

    • Sneakers/secure riding shoes  
    • Clothes appropriate for riding and the weather 
    • Sunscreen and hat recommended 
    • A warm, waterproof jacket is recommended in colder months 
    • Sunglasses are recommended all year round

    More Information

    • What is an E-Bike? Riding an E-Bike is just like riding a normal bike, except you can engage extra power when you use the Japanese Yamaha motor system. You can use assisted pedal power which matches from 75% to 350% of your own power output, depending on the setting you select. For safety, the motor tops out at 32km/h.
