Live out your George of the Jungle fantasies at the playground in the treetops at Grose River Park. If you’re keen for an active family friendly day out with enough thrills and challenges to get everyone excited (and exhausted), this is it.
In the Blue Gum forest at Grose River Park in New South Wales there’s a network of tree top obstacle courses that are elaborate enough to keep you going for hours. There are 110 ‘challenges’ in total and more than 20 zip lines, so prepare to soar through the forest between platforms 2-25 metres high, crawl through tunnels, balance on tight ropes, ride the aerial skateboard and shake things up on monkey bridges. If you’re game enough, have a go on the 100m flying fox, which is the longest in the park. The challenges are physical, mental, and exhilarating as you look down to the forest ground way below.
You’ll have two hours to take on the courses, plus some time before to get checked in, harnessed up, and trained in the art of tree top adventuring. There are different courses for different age groups, so it’s a family friendly day out that gets everyone out in the fresh air and active. The obstacles and challenges range from easy to the more challenging end of the spectrum, so expect to get your blood pumping while you’re up there.
This is the perfect opportunity to check out some of Australia’s lush forest scenery and indulge your inner child (or actual child) with aerial playground fun. The Grose River Park tree top adventure is definitely worth a visit.
