    Grab your buddies for a beginners surfing lesson at Australia's first surf park, URBNSURF Melbourne. Your private group will receive instruction from qualified surf coaches in a controlled and safe environment guaranteeing perfect, ocean-like waves, making it ideal for pro surfers and absolute beginners alike.

    Your beginner lesson takes place in The Bays, which is the perfect training ground for budding surfers. Wetsuit and board hire are included, along with a briefing, warm up and practice on-land before taking to the water. You'll learn paddling techniques, how to catch whitewater waves, popping up and turning left and right and get the chance to ride 10-12 waves for up to 10 seconds per wave. Your surf coach will run you through a warm down and tips to take away after the session. 

    Your pass includes access to all areas of the park, from change rooms and lockers to hot tubs and landscaped areas. Feel free to bring along family and friends to watch, as there’s plenty to enjoy at the park.

    • Participants must sign a waiver declaring they are medically and physically fit to undertake a surfing experience

    • This experience is one hour and 45 minutes in duration
    • First time visitors must arrive at the Surf Academy 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time
    • Spectator passes are required for non-participants
