    For anyone up for an extra extreme white water adventure, this full day advanced river boarding tour on Tully River is an absolute must-do. Heading out of Cairns, you'll be immersed in stunning rainforest and jump in to take on the grade 1-4 rapids on a river board.

    After being picked up from Cairns, you'll be taken on a two hour drive into the wet tropics World Heritage area to Tully River National Park. Stop along the way to pick up some fresh local bananas and enjoy a light breakfast, and once you arrive your guides will gear you up with all the equipment and instruction you need, including wetsuit pants, knee and shin guards, a life jacket, fins and a helmet.

    You'll practice the basics of river boarding on a grade two rapid, then move on to tackle up to 17 rapids and white water action along the stretch of Tully River. This is a seriously adrenaline-pumping way to experience white water rapids, perfect for anyone who loves water sports and is up for an adventure.

  • Experience Details

    Fitness and Experience

    • This is an advanced section of white water for strong swimmers
    • Minimum age is 16 years
    • There must be participating guardian consent, if you’re under 18 years of age
    • All participants need to have a basic understanding of English 
    • Every participant must sign a liability release form prior to commencing
    • All participants must complete water confidence training, which will involve swimming a grade 2 rapid, at the start of the tour. If unable to complete the training for whatever reason, individuals will not be able to participate, if deemed unsafe by the experience provider

    • Optional to bring Gopro and Attachments - they must be hands free
    • No food is provided, but you can BYO and there are opportunities to buy food
