    Derwent Valley is one of the most beautiful places to see in Tasmania, and it’s also a great place to try to some of the best cold climate wine and beers around. If you like exploring wineries and breweries, sipping on delicious drinks, and seeing amazing scenery, this tour is the perfect choice. 

    To kick things off you’ll be picked from your Hobart accommodation and head the little way over to Glaetzer-Dixon, a modern retro cellar door that will treat you to a curated wine tasting. And so your afternoon of fine wine and scenic exploration begins. Your next stop is Stefano Lubiana, a winery that has claimed the title of best biodynamic wine in the world for three years in a row. You’ll learn a bit about biodynamic farming methods, enjoy a wine tasting at the cellar door, then move on to your next stop. Derwent Estate is in an unbeatable location right on the banks of the Derwent River, so you can sip and soak up the view. The last stop of your tasting tour is The Eleventh Order Brewery, where you’ll mix things up with some delicious craft beer.

    Under the guidance of a local and internationally experienced sommelier you’ll spend the afternoon gaining a new appreciation for wine, beer, and the process in which both are created. Plus, on the way back to Hobart you’ll finish off the day with a stop at Pulpits Rock to take in the spectacular view of the Derwent River. This is the perfect way to explore the beautiful Tasmanian landscape and get a taste of the famed Tasmanian wines and beers.
