Toowong cemetery original ghost tour
The ghost tour was great. Tour guide andrew was amazing. Highly recommend
Scary but exciting
I went on this adventure with my 2 teenage children. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and funny, to learn of the history was amazing. To be able to walk amount the city of the dead was an experience we will never forget. Totally worth crossing off the bucket list.

What you can expect
Join us as we explore the isolated and eerie Toowong Cemetery at night. Set on 44 hectares of land, Toowong Cemetery is the largest in Queensland, with over 120,000 graves sprawled over its hills.
As you walk through the cemetery past gravestones, tombs and crypts, your guide will share stories of former gravediggers, murderers, black widows, dead governors, and more, all packed with ghoulish details to get your heart racing. You’ll be taken to parts of the cemetery that you wouldn’t explore alone and learn all about the famous burial site.
Please note: This tour is completely separate from our Toowong Cemetery Ghost Tour - The Other Side. The tours visit different areas of the cemetery, and as such contain different stories.

- For 138 years it has been the Brisbane General Cemetery. Nearly everyone has a relative buried here. One of the most beautiful haunted sites in Brisbane, Toowong Cemetery is now the largest cemetery in Queensland, covering almost 250 acres at the base of Mount Coot-tha, it is the burial place of 120,000 souls – some famous, some infamous
- Spread over the hills and steep slopes are tens of thousands of gravestones, tombs & crypts. There are many parts you would not go alone. Generations of local people have been drawn to explore it; ghost stories and tales – real and imagined – abound. What To Bring
- All guests must wear flat enclosed shoes. Other shoes (e.g. thongs, sandals or high heels) will not be permitted
- A torch is required for the tour. Each guest must bring 1 torch per person (Phone apps are suitable)
- Wet weather gear (tours operate in all weather conditions)

- Suitable for those aged 12 and over
- Please ensure that everyone attending in your party has fully enclosed, flat soled shoes on for the tour please. No stilettos, sandals, thongs or bare feet. Ballet flats are fine
Terms And Conditions

- Service animals allowed
- All children under and including the age of 15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult
- Ghost Tours are not suitable for children under 10 years, and will not be permitted on any tour
- A moderate amount of walking up steep hills is involved
- This tour will still go ahead in the event of rain or inclement weather. If the experience provider does have to cancel the tour due to severe weather, you will be rescheduled by the experience provider directly
- By undertaking one of our tours, all clients agree to abide by the following:
- CLIENTS MUST BE WEARING FLAT-SOLED ENCLOSED SHOES - No thongs/sandals/high-heels. Any person who does not have the correct footwear will not be permitted on the tour. No Refund. No Transfer.
- CLIENTS MUST HAVE A TORCH EACH - Guests are required to bring their own torch. One per person is required. Torch apps on smart phones are suitable.
- ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED PRIOR TO OR DURING A TOUR - Clients suspected of being under the influence of alcohol will be denied admission. No Refund. No Transfer.
- SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED DURING A TOUR - Smoking is not permitted at any time during our tours. If anyone forgets this, and starts smoking, they will be asked to immediately cease. If they do not, they may be asked to leave the tour. No Refund. No Transfer.
- MOBILE / TABLET DEVICE USE - Mobile / tablet devices are not to be used during any of our tours, with the only exception being for an emergency, or to take photographs. If you use a mobile phone / tablet device for any other purpose during any of our tours, you will be asked to stop. Refusal to do so may result in you being asked to leave the tour. No Refund. No Transfer.
- THERE ARE NO TOILET FACILITIES AVAILABLE AT THIS SITE - There are no toilet facilities available at site. Please use facilities elsewhere before joining us at this site.
- TOURS WILL STILL RUN IN THE RAIN - The weather really adds to the atmosphere of a tour. If the weather looks bad, bring some wet weather gear, and enjoy the tour. Tours will only be cancelled if conditions become dangerous.
- PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS & GHOST HUNTING IS NOT PERMITTED - Paranormal investigation / ghost hunting is strictly not permitted on tours. This includes but is not limited to: apps on mobile devices, Ouija boards, pendulums, video and still photography, psychic, medium and clairvoyant channelling of spirits.

Great tour. We went as a family of nine, being grandparents, we enjoyed doing the tour with them. We are all now thinking of doing another Ghost tour elsewhere.
