What you can expect
As you walk through the cemetery past gravestones, tombs and crypts, your guide will share stories packed with ghoulish details to get your heart racing. You’ll be taken to parts of the cemetery that you wouldn’t explore alone and learn all about the famous burial site. You may also experience the presence of those executed at Boggo Road Gaol, which shares a close history with the location.

- One of Australia’s most haunted sites, the second largest cemetery in Queensland hides many terrible tales
- The iron fence and entrance gates of South Brisbane Cemetery – more commonly known as Dutton Park Cemetery – is passed by thousands of drivers every day, though few know who lies there. This is one of the earliest burial grounds in the state – the first recorded burial was 140 years ago
- Covering forty-six acres, the cemetery stretches down a steep hill to the Cemetery Reach of the Brisbane River. Hidden among old trees are thousands of gravestones and memorials. Hundreds more are missing – the result of flood, vandalism & time. Though almost 100,000 souls lie at rest here… forty-two do not
- Meet at the gates of one of Australia’s most haunted graveyards – South Brisbane Cemetery. Also known as Dutton Park Cemetery, gravediggers say this is Brisbanes’ most creepy burial ground. Be led on an intimate 2 hour historic ghost tour with an eerie Tour Guide. What To Bring
- All guests must be wearing flat, enclosed shoes
- Each guest must bring a torch each (torch apps on smart phones are suitable)
Additional Information
- Suitable for those aged 12 and over
- Please ensure that everyone attending in your party has fully enclosed, flat soled shoes on for the tour please. No stilettos, sandals, thongs or bare feet. Ballet flats are fine

- Not wheelchair accessible
- Service animals allowed
- All children under and including the age of 15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult
- Ghost Tours are not suitable for children under 10 years, and will not be permitted on any tour
- A moderate amount of walking up steep hills is involved
- Paranormal investigation / ghost hunting is strictly not permitted on tours. This includes but is not limited to: apps on mobile devices, Ouija boards, pendulums, video and still photography, psychic, medium and clairvoyant channelling of spirits.
- This tour will still go ahead in the event of rain or inclement weather. If the experience provider does have to cancel the tour due to severe weather, you will be rescheduled by the experience provider directly.

- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
