Simply Magic
We thought the day was simply magic. We knew we would enjoy the day, but were completely blown away by how perfect it was. The DC3 flight was an incredible experience :-) It was also entertaining, fun, informative, educational, social, RELAXING and extremely well thought out. My partner and I came away thinking that somehow the tour was ''under sold''. Everyone involved were extremely professional and friendly. I almost forgot... the food (lunch) was divine. There is only one regret... should have stocked up more on the King Island cheese. A truly fantastic day.
What you can expect
Take to the skies for an unforgettable day of adventure with return flights from Melbourne on board a historic DC3 aircraft, and a stopover at the remote King Island for some exploration and lunch. This is the perfect adventure to share with someone special.
Departing from Melbourne, you'll board a classic DC3 for the one hour and 10 minute flight to King Island. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Melbourne city skyline, Port Phillip Bay, King Island and beyond as you soar high above the beautiful landscape. King Island is located at the North Wester tip of Tasmania, and you'll be taken for a delicious lunch. After you enjoy the amazing local produce, the coach will take you on a tour of the Currie area and visit some local shops. Then return to the DC3 aircraft for another exciting flight back to Melbourne.

- Return flight on Melbourne's Gooney Bird (DC-3) to King Island

- This flight departs from Melbourne at 10:30am and returning at approximately 5 - 5.30pm
- Flights take place on selected Sundays throughout the year. Please book in advance

Terms And Conditions
- This is not a private flight
- This experience may be rescheduled in cases of extreme weather condition
- Alcohol and aviation don’t mix, especially in amounts exceeding moderate levels. We adhere to strict government regulations, similar to those of airlines, which prohibit the carriage of passengers under the influence
- We want you to enjoy our food and wines, but not to excess, for your own and other passengers’ comfort and safety. Please bear this in mind when planning your evening
- Smoking is not permitted in the Aircraft or the Lounge, however you may smoke on the viewing deck adjacent to the tarmac
- The DC-3 is not as user-friendly as modern aircraft for passengers with mobility issues. The on-board stairs are narrow and steep, and the cabin slopes at an angle of eleven degrees on the ground. If you or anyone in your group needs any form of mobility aids such as sticks/crutches/walking frames or wheelchairs we need to discuss this with you. A day to remember
Had a great time, friendly team. Shared the local King Island culture for the day, purchased a local artists painting and stocked up on good local cheese.
