Where To Go Skydiving In Australia

Leaping out of a plane at 15,000ft isn’t something you normally do on a weekend, but that’s the point. The first 60 seconds is the best kind of chaos, we’re talking crazy wind, heart pumping, mind racing stuff. But then suddenly, it’s calm and you’re floating over some of the best views in the country.... and that’s when you realise just how epic this adventure is.
Ready to go skydiving? Here are the best places to do it in Australia.

Skydive over the Great Ocean Road (VIC)

Visiting the Great Ocean Road by car? Nah, we'd rather skydive over it instead. This iconic attraction is already cool but trust us when we say it’s even more impressive from up above. Whether you’re flying over the 12 Apostles and seeing what the Loch Ard Gorge looks like from up above or taking off from Torquay and landing on Bells Beach, you're pulling off something people only talk about doing while covering some of the best sites in the country. That sounds like a 10/10 idea to us.

Skydive in the Whitsundays (QLD)

Beaches, reefs and just absolute good vibes. Falling from the sky and landing on what could be the nicest beach you’ve ever seen has got to make the Whitsundays one of the most iconic places to jump. Sure, the clear-as-day turquoise water, islands and views of the Great Barrier Reef are unreal but landing on a luxe beach and soaking in that “I can’t believe I just did that” feeling wins, hands down. Make it happen with a tandem jump at 8,00ft from $309 or go hard with 15,00ft .

Skydive over Sydney (NSW)

Panoramic views and probably the wildest thing you’ll ever do, all within a driving distance from home? Yep, that’s what makes Sydney a good place to jump. You can leave home, drop out of a plane and make it back all in the same day. Dive directly over water at 200km/h in Wollongong or glide across Newcastle as you count the lakes and beaches surround it – either way, you’ve now got something cool to talk about at work on Monday. Unless you’re a pro, you can do a tandem jump from here for just $349.

Skydive on the Fleurieu Peninsula (SA)

If you want options, we’ve got two words for you: Fleurieu Peninsula . No for real, with four different drop zones flying over vineyards, beaches and national parks, this is the place to go if you want to change it up. You can go for a quick 9,00ft drop but if you want more time to take it all in (which you’ll definitely need), do the full-send with 15,00ft. And if you want to step it up, there’s even a solo skydiving course , so you can get certified to do solo jumps too.

Skydive in the Sunshine Coast (QLD)

Rainforests and beaches all in one go? Yeah, it’s not hard to see why the Sunshine Coast is one of our favourite places to jump. One second, you’re freefalling and your brain is in overdrive, then as soon as you’ve processed what’s just happened, it's just calm waters, green forests and sun for days. Oh, and the warm breeze you get as you make your way down doesn't hurt either. With one in Caloundra and one further north in Noosa , you can take a leap through the sky from $349.
