Adrenaline and Fastrack V8 Race Experience are looking for someone capable of being a high-speed race car driver and is also able to give customer’s an awesome experience.

How a winner will be found

Your personal coach on the day will record a score out of 100 as you drive your second session of 10 laps. A secondary panel of professional race car drivers will review video footage of you behind the wheel and use the same criteria to also award a percentage mark out of 100.

These combined scores give an average percentage mark out of 200 to determine the 10 final applicants.

At first, judges will not be looking for the highest speed, but will based the decision on points awarded by your coach and the judging panel on factors including:

  • Ability to make decisions around safety, fast (safety before ego)
  • Ability to be smooth
  • Hitting apexes
  • Braking
  • Throttle control
  • Gear changes, smooth and clean up and down using heal and toe
  • Ability to remain relaxed and calm
  • Attitude towards customers (verbal)
  • Cockpit cycle (mirror, track, gauges, customer)
  • Consistency

The next steps

The 10 highest point scorers will be invited to attend a race driver seminar and a final shootout around Melbourne’s iconic Sandown Raceway. This is all included in your audition test package. All expenses, including airfares, food and accommodation the night before, will be paid by Adrenaline Fastrack V8 Race Experience.

The final 10 applicants will be given three high-speed qualifying laps solo. Those three laps will be combined, then averaged to give the fastest overall time. The entrant with the fastest average time will be offered a one-year contract with Fastrack V8 Race as one of their professional hot lap drivers.
