    Why wait for the weekend? Take a mid-week break with a hot air balloon flight over the serene Avon Valley. We’ll meet you at Northam Airfield with some hot tea and coffee to kickstart the day. After a quick briefing from your pilot, you’ll get a chance to help inflate the balloon.

    Lift off just before first light, soaring over hills, farms, and rivers as the sun wakes up the valley below. Once we’re back on solid ground, we’ll pack up and head to Northam for a well-deserved breakfast by the river. Fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, cheese, and a full-cooked brekkie, topped off with a glass of champagne. It’s the perfect way to add a bit of adventure to your week.

    • Allow 4-5 hours for the experience, including balloon inflation, flight, vehicle recovery, and breakfast. The flight lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour
    • The experience begins approximately 1 hour before dawn, with start times from 3:30 am in warmer months to 6:00 am in cooler months
    • Flights are available from April to November
    • Flights do not operate from December to March due to unsuitable weather
    • Cancellations due to strong winds or heavy rain will be rescheduled
    • Advise of any weight, dietary requirements, recent injuries, or surgeries when booking
    • Consult a doctor if you have recent back or leg injuries
    • Windward Ballooning does not fly pregnant passengers

    Cancellation Policy

    • Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
    • Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
