Enjoy Aboriginal didgeridoo and dance performances, an impressive Free Flight Bird Show featuring the wedge tail eagle, various animal feeding tours and an amazing variety of native wildlife.

    Fitness and Experience

    • As a guide, the recommended height of a guest to be able to safely and securely hold a koala is 140cm
    • It is at the Koala handler’s discretion on the day to ensure that a koala can be held safely and securely unassisted
    • If a Koala handler determines a guest requires assistance, one of three options will be offered: Tree photo, Cuddle shot with handler, or Professional group/family photo with suitable person holding the koala

    • Open daily and in all weather, from 8am-5pm except ANZAC Day and Christmas Day
    • Cuddle a Koala operating hours: 09.00 – 11.30 and 12.30 – 14.00
    • The Sanctuary is closed on ANZAC Day and Christmas Day
    • In case of wet weather, ponchos are available for purchase on site
    • The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the corner of Gold Coast Highway and Tomewin St, Currumbin, Gold Coast, Queensland. The Gold Coast Highway runs all the way through the Gold Coast from Labrador in the North through to Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Burleigh, Palm beach, Currumbin, to the Gold Coast Airport to Coolangatta.
    • Any changes after bookings are confirmed must be arranged directly with the experience provider in line with their policy
