What to do in Jervis Bay

Whatever time of year it is, there is plenty to do in Jervis Bay. You can check out our hand-picked range of Jervis bay activities and experiences here at Adrenaline by browsing our site by location, and book in something to make the most of your visit.

By far the most exciting things to do in a destination renowned for its pristine coast are water-based activities. Jervis Bay is actually an amazing spot for wildlife spotting, and you can find all the best whale watching and dolphin spotting tours easily here at Adrenaline.

In Jervis Bay, whale watching is a crowd favourite during the migration season between May and November. Adrenaline offers whale watching tours that let you get up close and personal to these giants of the ocean, and our eco tours quickly zip you out to sea in the smoothest conditions. This makes them a great option if you’re looking for family day trips from Sydney (although it’s easily worth staying longer if you can).

Year-round we offer dolphin cruises, so you can see the most playful residents of the bay frolicking in their natural habitat, and if you’re lucky you might spot a fur seal or penguin too. If you’re keen to get in the water, the Jervis Bay boom netting dolphin cruise is an exciting and completely unique opportunity to get close to bottlenose dolphins.

While you’re in Jervis Bay, there’s plenty more to explore. Walk along the crisp white beaches and feel the famously powder-fine sand between your toes. Go snorkelling or scuba diving in the clear and still Jervis Bay water. Check out the surrounding bushland near the coast and wander through the quaint beach towns.

You can soak in the best views of Jervis Bay from the Point Perpendicular Lighthouse on the northern tip, or scoot around to the Cape St George Lighthouse in the south. In between are cute seaside villages like Huskisson, Callala Bay and Vincentina, plus Jervis Bay Village itself.

A popular Jervis Bay attraction is the Maritime Museum, which shows a world-renowned collection of maritime artefacts and boasts a stunning waterfront location. This is a must-see in the area if you’re interested in all things nautical and keen to know more about the history and heritage of the Jervis Bay area. Plus, the Maritime Museum has a large recreation area with gardens, a mangrove boardwalk, ponds, a boathouse and historic buildings.

Jervis Bay is an amazing place to visit during summer, winter, or any time of year. So book in your visit then book in your experiences here at Adrenaline to look forward to some excitement.
