Hofbrauhaus brings authentic Bavarian beer and culture to the heart of Melbourne, and you can get the full experience with a beer course and two hour guided tasting. You’ll kick off with a 30 minute introductory course, which will cover everything from the German beer purity laws, to the crucial steps of the brewing process and the significance of Bavarian culture in history. By law, only three ingredients are actually allowed in the Bavarian beer making process: water, barley, and hops. Hofbrauhaus proudly follows those laws to this day, and you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at it all.
Once you’ve finished your course, it’s time for a beer tasting and food pairing session. You’ll be treated to five different Bavarian biers like Lager, Pilsner, Weissbier, Dunkel and Pale Lager, so come thirsty! Each of those brews will be matched with a different food dish, to show just how important the right pairing can be. It’s the perfect experience for any beer enthusiasts or newbies keen to learn more.
