    Spend a day on the bay with us and watch for sightings of dolphins & whales (in season), swim in aqua waters, feed fish, ride the boomnet and enjoy lunch featuring BBQ chicken, ham off the bone, fresh prawns and salads!

    Let us take you on an unforgettable cruise into the sheltered crystal clear waters of Moreton Island and its Marine Park. This haven is home to many playful dolphins, the rare and shy dugongs, huge sea turtles and even humpback whales June – October. You will be amazed by the spectacular beauty of Moreton Island. 

    Morning tea is provided on arrival at the vessel then cruise over Moreton Bay to the Island where we conduct the Marine eco cruise looking for the Dolphins, Turtles, Dugongs that frequent the bay and June- October we offer Whale watching opportunities free of charge during the QLD Whale season. There are also activities for the adventurous; experience the rush of boom netting in the summer months, or relax on the white sandy beaches and swim in the crystal clear waters. You will be treated to a BBQ chicken, ham off the bone, Prawn and salad lunch with complimentary tea and coffee all day.

    There is an optional snorkelling guided tour on the day around the world famous Tangalooma Wrecks (at cost, payable on the day), comparable to the Great Barrier Reef, snorkeling through 15 scuttled ship wrecks, amongst a myriad of fish. Tour includes guides in the water, marine fees, insurances and free hire of wetsuits and snorkel equipment. 

    This experience operates all year round and check in is at 8:00am sharp on the boat at Newport Marina, Scarborough and returns at 4:00 PM.

    Fitness and Experience

    • No experience is necessary for this experience
    • However you do need to be able to swim if you want to take part in boom netting and the guided snorkeling tour
    • Snorkeling and boom-netting are potentially hazardous activities and based on medical and fitness information you provide the Master of the vessel with decided if you are fit enough to participate in these activities

    • Vessel - 22m Catamaran with 4 comfortable areas to relax
    • The Front Deck great for spotting animals,  Back Deck has ladders and easy access into and out of the water, Saloon with air-conditioning, comfortable lounges, chairs and tables, 2 toilets/change rooms, licensed bar and The Top Deck is always a favorite place to relax and admire the view
    • Customers can bring snacks on board, but we also sell them at the bar if they would like to purchase 2 min noodles, chocolates, chips, ice creams, soft drinks, and alcohol (customers are NOT ALLOWED to bring alcohol on board)
    • Please note that CC facilities are not available on board because we travel to remote areas without phone service, so please bring cash
    • Payment of $20 to participate in the Guided snorkeling and fish feeding tour is also POB cash, CC facilities are not available on the boat, even before departure
    • Check in is on the boat at 8:00am, return to Newport Marina at 4pm
