Escape the city for an incredible morning bushwalk up to Mount Lofty Summit! A short scenic drive from the city will take you to Cleland Conservation Park and to the trailhead of Adelaide’s most popular hike where you'll begin the adventure!
Traverse through the wilderness, hear the sounds of native birdlife and see the spectacular sight of lush bushland, beautiful waterfalls, streams and gully ridges along the way. Your guide will set the pace based on your preferences and will make a few stops of interest for you to enjoy.
Expect to take between one to two hours to reach the summit where you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Adelaide and beyond! Admire the views and maybe re-energise at the cafe with a morning coffee or brunch, before heading back down on an hour return hike to the starting point.
Please dress appropriately for the weather. It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses and bring a small lightweight backpack for personal items. And most importantly, do not forget your camera!
Toilets and water are available at both Waterfall Gully trail head and Mount Lofty Summit. Covid-19 Conditions of Bookings From Wednesday 1 December 2021, participants aged 16 and older who choose to come to our sites will be required to show evidence that they have been double vaccinated (or are exempt from vaccination by order of the Chief Public Health Officer). Participants must be able to provide evidence of vaccination upon arrival, and check in using the QR code.
