This full day rock climbing and abseil adventure in the Blue Mountains is the perfect gift for someone adventurous, and a great introduction to rocksports.
Your beginners' abseiling course in Sydney will start on a small boulder and progress through a variety of abseils, where you'll get to practice as many times as you like. As you progress throughout the half day abseiling course, fun challenges will be put before you. Race your mate down a sheer cliff face or launch yourself and bound to the bottom in as few touches of the wall as you dare!
Then you'll move onto rock climbing, where your experienced guides will coach your progess from small, easy short climbs, rapidly progressing onto more difficult and sometime inverted faces. There are usually many different grade climbs at one site, so all levels within the group can be catered for.
The Introductory Rock Climbing and Abseiling day is your chance to take in as much climbing and abseiling as you can do in one day. It's perfect for beginners or those with limited outdoor climbing experience. You will learn the basics in rocksports and rocksport safety.
Tours run any day on demand for groups of 3 or more people. Private tours are available at extra cost – contact Adrenaline 1300 791 793 to arrange.
WEATHER: Outdoor programs are weather dependent, it will be up to the trip leaders discretion to decide if the trip will be cancelled. When evaluating weather conditions our client’s safety is of the utmost importance. Remember the weather in the mountains can be very different to that in Sydney. The trip will go ahead unless you are notified.
TRANSPORT: The guides will be using a vehicle to transport equipment to the start of the trip. It may be possible for you to travel in that vehicle, otherwise you are welcome to take your own vehicle. Regular commuter trains run between Sydney and Katoomba - a journey of approximately two hours. The tour provider was brilliant and gave us a fantastic day with everything we needed.
i had a great day the guides were friendly and well informed about the local area
The team at BMAC were great and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and ensured everyone felt comfortable during the day.
BMAC were terrific in difficult conditions due to the fires and I would wholeheartedly recommend their professional and interest approach. Adrenalin website was fine once you'd found your adventure. Response to activating the voucher was excellent.
This adventure was amazing. It was physical challenging but you could take it at your own pace. We experienced quite a few rock climbs and different abseils. Our guide for the day was brilliant and would recommend him to everyone!
Great experience. Best opportunities are in smaller groups - better interaction and experience with the instructor and others taking part in the activity. Nonetheless, the activity was exciting and the staff is great.
This adventure was worth every cent I paid. The staff were very experienced and knowledgeable so I had full confidence in their abilities. The views over the cliffs were breathtaking. The rock climbs nearly killed me but was incredibly satisfying and gave me a sense of achievement. The abseiling was pure enjoyment. The rain made the experience even better. I was wet and exhausted physically and mentally. If I had the money I would do it again in a heart beat. Thanks guys for another great adventure.
Excellent day at Mt York, loved the abseil - very exposed and the views were AWESOME, better than echo point for sure. Then, my first time rock climbing - was better at it than I thought I would be, though my arms ached for a few days after! Great crew/instructors, it felt more like you're on a day out with friends (who happen to be rockclimbing instructors!) rather than an organised tour.
