We've convinced a genuine Formula Ford Racing Team to let you drive their competition-prepared Formula Ford Spirit or VD race cars at full pelt. Weekends or weekday twilight sessions available.
Perfect for fans of V8's, Bathurst, Carrera Cup or motorsports in general, driving an F1-style single-seater Formula Ford racing car is unlike anything else. You're strapped into the open cockpit, the steering wheel in front of you and the gearstick on your right. You're only a couple of inches off the ground and you'll know it; you can feel every bump and vibration and you'll have to fight not to oversteer, as your super-responsive car reacts to every tiny adjustment you make.
We've convinced a genuine Formula Ford Racing Team to let you drive their competition-prepared Formula Ford Spirit or VD race cars at speed around Sydney Motorsport Park circuit at Eastern Creek.
This is driving as done by the pros; just you and the car going at speeds significantly faster than a Porsche 911.
Weekends or after-work weekday twilight sessions available. Click here for midweek sessions.
Great experience but some more consideration needs to take place organising drivers as slow drivers negatively impacted my experience and although they state if you are held up your laps will be compensated this did not occur.
I would love even longer Formula Ford sessions for the true enthusiast -- 40-50 laps for example, over an entire day -- but at a slightly reduced price! While extremely enjoyable, the Eastern Creek circuit is very short and 20 laps can be completed in less than 15 minutes. I appreciate the cost for the crew to set up and maintain the cars, etc, but overall the experience wasn't cheap. Rod Morrison
Loved the experience and other than my height making it difficult to change gears. The staff did what they could to accommodate.
I cannot recommend this enough. This i definitely the best experience i have ever done. And i will 100% for sure do it again. Anglo Motorsport are exceptional at what they do, and all of the staff are amazing. This is for the true motoring enthusiast, a real race car on a real race track. These are not converted road car cars with a loud exhaust and rollcage, these a real race cars and their only purpose in life is racing. And to anyone looking at doing this, you MUST do the 20 lap experience. Anything less will only be leaving you wanting and wishing you had done more.
i think they should also time your laps . i think every one would agree this would be great to see how you did compaired to others and also your self
Fantastic experience & highly professional
An amazing gift for my partner. He lived every second and would have done another 20 laps if he could have! Definitely recommend the longer lap sessions, gives the driver more time to get a feel for the car and the track. A great gift for those who have it all! !
Great day out, best thing was that cars were not restricted in any form so was a real experience.
Great way to experiance race car for the first time in my latter years..... On a constructive note, the track was a little too short to fully get a feel for the car by using the gears but I can understand the need for this re safety, use snf preservation of the cars. The car was quick, G Forces sufficient to know your traveliing fast and the staff and mechanics helpful and knowledgeable. Great fun.
The experience I had at eastern creek was amazing A+++ The staff were very friendly and extreamly helpful I recomend this to everybody to try
Your experience starts with a safety briefing about high-speed driving, including detailed instruction on the circuit's braking and corner apex points. Then at last you'll strap in to the single-seater, driving solo, putting all the theory into practice with 20 laps of the Corporate Hill circuit, on the "Amaroo" race track of Sydney Motorsport Park at Eastern Creek.
Cars driven on the day are State Championship Level racing quality, and are used in races across Australia. Drivers from the State and National Formula Ford Championships are present on the day to offer tips and advice to drivers.
