This adventure runs in the whale shark off season so does not guarantee sightings or swimming.
If you're heading to Western Australia's iconic Ningaloo Reef during the off season, this whale watching and potential whale shark swimming adventure is a must. You'll be picked up from Exmouth and spend the full day on the reef, going snorkelling, spotting humpback whales, and even swimming with whale sharks if the spotter plane finds them.
Kick off the day nice and early so you can make the most of your Ningaloo Reef adventure. You'll cruise out into the pristine waters, and after a safety briefing you can dive in for an unforgettable snorkelling session. At 10am a spotter plane will be launched in search of whale sharks, the biggest fish in the sea. This tour is during the shoulder season (September to October), so whale shark sightings are less reliable, but if you get lucky you have the incredible opportunity to go swimming alongside them. During this season you're likely to see humpback whales on their migration, as well as turtles, manta rays, dugongs, dolphins and more.
