Advanced Eco-Tourism Certified, this not-for-profit organisation is an Indigenous Champion, so you can look forward to an immersive wildlife experience. You will be entertained with fine aboriginal didgeridoo and dance performances, an impressive Free Flight Bird Show featuring the wedged tail eagle and an amazing variety of native wildlife. You can look forward to feeding kangaroos and wild lorikeets or even pay a little more to cuddle a koala. You can also view the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Hospital precinct and gain better appreciation of the wildlife rehabilitation work being done.
Open daily and in all weather, from 8am-5pm (closed on ANZAC Day and Christmas Day). The Hospital is open till 1.30pm. Your entry is valid for up to 9 hours. In case of wet weather, ponchos are available for purchase on site.
The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the corner of Gold Coast Highway and Tomewin St, Currumbin, Gold Coast, Queensland. The Gold Coast Highway runs all the way through the Gold Coast from Labrador in the North through to Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Burleigh, Palm beach, Currumbin, to the Gold Coast Airport to Coolangatta. Coach transfers operated by the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary can be booked for $20 for a pick-up from the Gold Coast Airport or Surfers Paradise.
