I bought this for my new learner driver who had only completed 2hours of driving practice prior to this course. We both learnt so much about our vehicle and its breaking capabilities. This really is a must do for everybody, and should be part of a driving program required for all Learner and P plate drivers.
What you can expect
Take your driving to the next level with a full day, around seven hours, of Level 1 Defensive Driver training at Melbourne’s Sandown Raceway, where you put your own car through its paces under the guidance of experienced instructors. Whether you are a novice learning essential skills or a seasoned driver sharpening your habits and judgment, this course is built to push your control and confidence further.
Start in the interactive classroom, tackling vehicle dynamics, safety systems, defensive driving techniques, road laws and the hidden risks of fatigue and distractions. Then hit the track for the hands on action. Practical sessions put you in command of your car as you master car control, braking, reaction times and emergency handling, building the instincts that matter when it counts. You will leave with sharper skills, quicker reactions and the confidence of a safer, more proactive driver.

- Participants must supply their own car for this experience
- Minium age is 16 years old, maximum age is 80 years old
- This experience is suitable for most cars including 4WDs and light commercial vehicles
- If attending the course on a Learners permit, participants must bring a fully licensed driver with them
- This experience is not suitable for pregnant participants
- There will be groups of up to ten participants per instructor
- This experience runs in all weather conditions
- Please inflate your car's tyres to the recommended level for light commercials before you arrive, there is no facility to inflate tyres
- Please remove unrestrained items from your car
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Limited Driving Area but Friendly Staff
The driving space was relatively small, making it challenging to attain the necessary speed for braking, and there were restrictions on the variety of maneuvers practiced. The staff, however, were friendly and generally well-informed.
